The Remote Device Activator allows two electrical appliances to be switched on or off by using your normal telephone line.
The remote device activator has been specifically designed to allow ONE or TWO PC's, Networks or ANY electrical appliances
to be SWITCHED ON, SWITCHED OFF, or RESET by using your normal telephone line. Two models are available. Cat.
19002 provides ONE output, which can be used to control ONE device. Cat. 19005 provides TWO independent outputs, which
can be used to independently control TWO separate devices.
The outputs from these device activators are used to directly
control, and require the use of ONE (Cat. 19002) or TWO (Cat. 19005) of the following accessories:
* 240V Power Relay (Cat. 19003)
* Power Control Unit (Cat. 19004)
* PC Reset Unit (Cat. 19006)
The 240V Power Relay provides for safe connection or disconnection of your 240VAC electrical
supply to your equipment, when used in conjunction with a remote device activator.
The relaycan be set so that your 240VAC supply is always ON, unless commanded by the remote device
activator to turn OFF, or set so that your 240VAAC supply is always OFF, unless commanded
by the remote device activator to turn ON. The relay is controlled by a 12-24VAC or 12-24VDC
output from the remote activator device. A qualified electrician must install the relay. The 12-
24VAC or 12-24VDC source (not supplied) must be connected firstly to the remote activator
device and then to the 240V Power Relay.
The 240V Power Control Unit provides for safe connection or disconnection of your 240VAC electrical
supply to your equipment, when used in conjunction with a remote activator device. It is designed as a
quick & easy USER PLUG IN SOLUTION. This device contains a 240V Power Relay, a normally ON or
normally OFF toggle switch, and a 12VAC supply, all in a safe, convenient and approved plug in package.
The PC Reset Unit provides for a remote RESET of your PC by telephone, when used in conjunction with a
remote activator device. It is designed as a USER INSTALLABLE SOLUTION. The PC Reset Unit, whichconnects to an expansion slot at the rear of your PC, provides for a convenient interface from a RemoteDevice Activator and the RESET CONNECTION of your motherboard.
